The Review of Regional Studies has recently published two new issues, the latest of which (44(3)) is a special issue from the Spatial Econometric Association. Also, back issues from 1988-1990 are now scanned and online.

The Conference in Mobile was very well attended.  We had nearly 100 attendees. George Akpandjar of the University of Mississippi won the Moriarty Graduate Student Award, and Randy Jackson delivere his Fellows Address, Are Industry Clusters and Diversity Strange Bedfellows?

The 2013 Conference in Washington, DC was a big success. Dan Rickman gave his combined Presidential/Fellows address investigating the case for Oklahoma to follow Texas’ taxation policies. Mark Partridge gave his Fellows address on Regional Science’s insights in helping understand the current “Jobs Crisis.”
