Organized Session proposals are now being accepted for the 61st Annual Meetings of the Southern Regional Science Association, March 30 – April 1st, 2023.
Organized Session proposals require one or more organizers, a session moderator (which may be the same as the organizer), and three or more presenters. If the organized session is a traditional paper session, organizers should provide a title, all authors (including identification of presenting author), and discussants for each paper. While using other presenting authors in the session may be used as discussants, it would be preferred if discussants external to the session can be identified.
The overall session proposal should have an abstract. The program chair will review and tentatively accept organized sessions without individual presentation abstracts, but short abstracts (one or two paragraphs) are required for each paper in an organized session (in addition to the session abstract) before final acceptance of the session is given.
A given number of organized sessions are being accepted in 2022 under formats such organized symposia, panels, etc. If you are proposing an organized session that will not include the presentation of formal papers, please indicate those details in the session abstract. A limited number of session slots will be made available for these session types.
Formal organized session proposals should be submitted directly to the Philip Watson, Program Chair. The deadline for submission of organized session proposals in February 7, 2023.
Please feel free to submit ideas about potential sessions to that email address as well. This will help the program chair identify the number of these organized session well in advance of the deadline and optimize the date and time of these sessions in the program.
